1. The weather

Today will be mostly cloudy with 20 percent chance of rain and a high near 59 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be cloudy with a low of 49 degrees and a 40 percent chance of rain.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Sunday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

3. Area 27 Special Olympics Fundraiser

The Howell Buffalo Wild Wings, 900 S Latson Rd, will donate 20 percent of total sales to the Area 27 Special Olympics today from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. All players, students, families and fans are invited. Make sure to bring the !

4. 5th Michigan Regiment Band Performs

The will host the 5th Michigan Regiment Band, Michigan’s official Civil War Sesquicentennial Band, tonight from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Those attending will learn about the rich history of the Civil War through an authentic historical recreation performed by the group. In addition, participants will hear music, including the 1861 Star Spangled Banner and see distinct uniforms patterned after the 5th Regiment Band and period-correct civilian clothing.

The  present day band has performed at Civil War festivals, re-enactments, historical events and musters in Gettysburg, PA, Michigan, Ohio and Kentucky and has recorded five CDs.
