Today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 52 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with a 30 percent chance of rain and snow after 2 a.m., and a low around 35 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Thursday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

3. Spring Book Sale

The Friends of the Brighton District Library's Spring Book Sale opens to the public today, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Find books and more, all for a $1 or less.

4. Acoustic Cafe Concert Series

The Livingston Arts Council will host its annual winter Acoustic Café concert series at The Howell Opera House in downtown Howell at 123 W Grand River Ave today at 7:30 p.m. Doors open early. Tonight's artists are Jackie Davidson and Gary Brandt, "Old Time Folk." Admission is $7.
