1. The weather

Today will be rainy, with wind gusts between 8 and 16 mph, and a high near 56 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a 60 percent chance of showers before 8 p.m., and a low around 45 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Thursday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

3. Firehouse Friday

will host Bubba and W4 Country’s annual Firehouse Friday today from 6-10 a.m. There will be a live fire demonstration, extracation demonstration, visit with Freddy the Fire Truck, games and more.

4. Lingenfelter Collection Open House

The Lingenfelter Collection will host an Open House today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to raise money and awareness for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted. There will also be merchandise and raffles.
