1. The weather

Today will be partly sunny with a high near 50, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low around 30 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Thursday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

3. All-You-Can-Eat Fish, Chicken, Rib Dinner

The Livingston County Wildlife and Conservation Club will host an All-You-Can-Eat-Dinner on today from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 6060 E. M-36 in Hamburg. Dinner includes: fish, oven fried chicken, barbecue ribs and chicken, side dishes and desserts. There will be a cash bar. Dinner costs $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and children ages 6 to 12 years old cost $5. Children under 5 years old eat for free. Call 810-231-1811 for details.

4. 'Fiber, Nuts and More' Gallery Reception

Fiber, Nuts and More, an exhibition of three artists’ work that features felting, hand weaving and quilt making, will have its gallery reception tonight from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 205 W Livingston Rd in Highland. The reception includes light refreshments. The exhibit runs through Saturday, Jan. 28.
