1. The weather

Today will be sunny, with a high near 73 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly clear, with a  low around 50 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Sunday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

The Brighton Area Schools Board of Education will meet tonight at the at 7 p.m. The Board is expected to adopt its 2012-2013 budget.

4. Live Bat Encounter

The Organization for Bat Conservation will host a live bat encounter today at 7 p.m. at the Howell Nature Center, located at 1005 Triangle Lake Rd. The Organization for Bat Conservation is dedicated to protecting bats, other wildlife, and the ecosystems they need to survive. All bats used in programs are either permanently injured animals or zoo animals and therefore are unreleasable. The programs are one of the most unique in the world, exhibiting such bats as endangered Rodrigues flying foxes, beautiful dog-faced bats, and many more. Cost is $4 per child, adults are $6.
