1. The weather

There will be a 50 percent chance of rain with patchy fog today after noon and a high near 36 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be cloudy with a 70 percent chance of rain mixed with snow showers before 1 a.m., and a low around 34 degrees.

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Sunday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

3. MLK Celebration and March

The 7th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration & March takes place today at the Prospect Hill Shopping Center lot, 510 Highland Ave in Milford. Lineup starts at 12:15 p.m. with the march to Central Park beginning at 1 p.m. A program in the park will follow. For more information, go to www.hvmlkday.org.

4. Extreme Body Makeover Workshop

The   will host registered dietitian and exercise physiologist Darci Noonchester as well as certified fitness trainers Kim Komar, of Fit Body, Fit Mind and David Pocharo, of Anytime Fitness in an Extreme Body Makeover Workshop today from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The three will discuss ways to help you start 2012 on the right foot.
