1. The weather

More rain is expected today with a high of 50 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be cloudy with a low of 40 degrees and a 30 percent chance of rain.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Wednesday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

3. Sweet Night Sweet Rides Kiwanis Benefit

is holding a fundraiser tonight from 7-9 p.m. to benefit the . Sweet Night Sweet Rides will feature a tour of "150 of the sweetest rides you will ever see in one location," as well as pastries and desserts. Tickets cost $25. To purchase tickets, call the Kiwanis hotline at 810-227-0393

4. City Council Meeting

Brighton City Council meets tonight at at 7 p.m. On the agenda, council members will hold a public hearing on the façade grant project for 412, 416 & 420 W. Main Street for $108,000 and a total project cost of $144,000. They will then consider approval of the façade grant project and also receive the annual external audit report.
