Good Morning Brighton - The Patch Edition

Here are five tidbits of news and information we hope you'll find useful or entertaining.

1. The weather

Today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 64 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low of 43 degrees and a 40 percent chance of showers.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Tuesday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

3. Brighton Art Guild Meeting

The Brighton Art Guild will meet tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the . The Brighton Art Guild is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of art awarenessin the community through support of the visual arts. The group hosts monthly meetings, critique groups, classes/workshops and exhibit opportunities. Current exhibition opportunties include Art at the Library, Art at the Mill Pond and Kaleidoscope, an annual, all-member exhibition. The guild invites artists, supporters of the arts and their families to join. Memberships are $30 per year for individuals; $40 for families; $15 for students.

4. BHS Students vs. Staff Basketball Game

Brighton Area Schools staff members will take on their students in a basketball game tonight at 7 p.m. at Brighton High School in the Fieldhouse.
