Here are five tidbits of news and information we hope you'll find useful or entertaining.

And remember, always included in this Monday-Friday feature is a video from someone wishing everyone "good morning" as part of a message to our community. Today's message comes from Boy Scout Troop 385.

1. The weather

Today will be partly sunny with a high near 26 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight will be cloudy with 40 percent chance of snow after 1 a.m. with a low around 25 degrees.

2. Gasoline prices

Here's a quick survey of the lowest per-gallon prices for regular gasoline in the Brighton area as of Tuesday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com:

3. Euchre Tournament

The will host a Euchre Tournament today at 10 a.m. Cost is $6 per person, which includes lunch. There will be three cash prizes available. Call Marcy at 810-299-3822 for more information.

4. Big Boy Fundraiser for Senior Center

Enjoy dinner at the Brighton Big Boy Restaurant and support the Brighton Senior Center today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Big Boy will donate 10 percent of the sales that take place between those hours to the Brighton Senior Center. For your dinner to count, you must pay your bill before 8 p.m.
