The Great Duck Race Raffle Concludes Brighton's Fourth of July Events

The rubber duck race in the Mill Pond resulted in 55 people winning various prizes.

The trumpet sounded, the crowd counted down, and the giant barrels were tipped over. That could only mean that Brighton's Great Duck Race Raffle was underway July 4 at the Mill Pond.

Each rubber duck in the pond had a number on it, corresponding with a ticket sold by the Livingston Sunrise Rotary Club, the organization in charge. The first 55 ducks that made it to the finish line underneath the bridge near Main Street won prizes, including a first place grand prize of a Carribbean cruise.
