Viewfinder: Farmers Market Offers Culinary Cornucopia and Gardens Galore

It's now officially spring—the Farmers Market is back for the season in downtown Brighton.

Saturday morning brought rain and grey skies to Brighton, but the dreary weather didn't keep vendors from setting up shop at the Brighton Farmers Market. During the first Market day of the 2011 season, tents and umbrellas kept merchandise and food dry, while the plants seemed to glow even brighter with the rain.

Everyone is going green these days, and many organic, locally grown and produced items can be found at the Farmers Market. Check it out next weekend and support local farmers, bakers, nurseries and craftspeople.

The Brighton Farmers Market is held in the municpal parking lot at the intersection of Mill Pond Lane and First Street every Saturday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
