Week in Review: Gag Order, Nonprofit Merger and Wrestling District Title
A summary of news for the week ending Feb. 12, 2012.
Here is what you might have missed in Brighton news this week:
- On Tuesday, we reported that a local judge granted a gag order in the juvenile case against Sara Rae Walters, a 34-year-old Oceola Township woman who faces charges of child abuse and torture of her 3-year-old step-grandson.
- On Wednesday, we announced that the merger between the Livingston Area Council Against Spouse Abuse (LACASA) and the Family Resource Center (FRC) was finally completed when the FRC officially moved its offices into the LACASA building on Grand River Ave. in Howell.
- Also on Wednesday, we reported that Childhelp, with Dominick’s Paternal Grandparents and Dominick’s Law will be putting on a Childhelp Run the Course for Dominick Calhoun event on April 21.
- On Thursday, we reported that the Brighton High School Varsity Wrestling Team won its third straight District Title after defeating Howell and Pinckney.
- Also on Thursday, we told you about the new Digital Multimedia Program coming to Brighton High School.
