Week in Review: New Mayor, Black Friday and Adopt-a-Soldier Program
A summary of news for the week ending Nov. 19.
Here is what you might have missed in Brighton news this week:
- On Monday, we reported that Brighton City Council Member Jim Muzzin was elected mayor and Chad Cooper was elected mayor pro-tem during a special meeting.
- On Tuesday, we told you about how several stores plan to open at 12 a.m. on Black Friday, earlier than last year's 4 a.m. opening.
- On Thursday, we reported that the new West Street Parking Lot would open Friday - adding 25 public parking spaces to downtown.
- On Friday, we reported that Michigan State Police arrested a burglary suspect at a 55-year-old woman's home in Brighton Township.
