Week in Review: Police Chase, Fire Safety Tips and Parking Study Results

Here is what you might have missed in Brighton news this week:
- On Monday, we reported that two men were arrested Sunday on outstanding warrants after a police chase that had one of the men ramming a Michigan State Police patrol car.
- On Tuesday, Brighton Area Fire Marshal Michael O'Brian offered safety tips and advice on avoiding accidental fires during the holiday season.
- Also on Tuesday, we reported that the National Transportation Safety Board is seeking a first-ever nationwide ban of personal electronic devices for drivers and asked you to vote in our poll.
- On Friday, we reported that the Brighton District Library has launched its annual appeal campaign in order to maintain free family programs its patrons have come to enjoy.
- Also on Friday, we reported that City Council members heard results from the recent parking study and found downtown Brighton lacks public parking spaces at night. Consultants also suggested the city revert back to metered parking as an added revenue stream.
