Over a
hundred Brighton High School students are spending a staggering number of hours
on stage and behind the scenes preparing their 2014 musical, “Grease”! In
addition to rehearsing their acting, singing, dancing, and technical details
daily, cast and crew members build sets, sell tickets and program advertising,
manage the show’s social media, and prepare the “front of the house” for the
show. Parent and community volunteers are deeply invested, too, so a wide range
of talent will be on display in the finished product. Public reviews of
previous shows nearly always include the phrase, “These are high school kids?!”
Come
and be “Hopelessly Devoted” to this remarkable collaboration of youth and
community as we share the thrills of Summer Nights in the classic musical,
“Grease”, live on stage at the Brighton Center for Performing Arts.
