Memorial Day Program - Yankee Air Museum

The Yankee Air Museum is pleased to host its annual Memorial Day
program on Monday, May 26 with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony to open
our new Vietnam Exhibit.

The program will begin at 8am with a Red Cross Blood Drive that will run until 2pm.

At 9am there will be a welcoming ceremony. Bob Hynes will be the
emcee. Retired Marine Corps Sergeant Kenneth Bowen will lead the Pledge
of Allegiance. He was decorated for valor during combat in Afghanistan.

Buglers will play Taps and the Willow Run Civil Air Patrol Color
Guard will present the colors. Soloist Natasha Ricketts will sing the
National Anthem. A bagpiper will play.

Weather permitting, our B-25 Mitchell WII bomber "Yankee Warrior" will do a fly-by salute.

Our guest speaker will be Tom Treece, a Vietnam Veteran and columnist with the Monroe News.

At 10am, there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil our new
Vietnam Exhibit. This exhibit features our newly restored F-4C Phantom
II and our

restored Huey helicopter. A historically accurate diorama surrounds these two combat-veteran aircraft.

We hope you'll join us on Monday, May 26 to honor our veterans. 734-483-4030
