Retired Marine Corps Band performs in Brighton

Bands of America's Few
The Brighton Kiwanis Club will be hosting the Retired Marine Corps Band for a special concerton August 11th, at 7:00 pm, at the Millpond.  Former Marine Musicians will perform at the Gazebo as one of their four performances in 2013.  The bands name is based on the slogan of the U.S. Marines "The Few, theProud, the Marines".  Retired Master Gunnery Sergeant Matthew Farquhar, music director and CEOof the Band will be one of 45 farmer Marines in concert.  Farquhar living in Japan, will be flying in to diect this performance as will other band members traveling from California, Texas, Michigan and the Midwest.  He and his wife have family in Milford and Howell. 
This special concert will be a tribute to our troops, veterans and POW's that have served this country so proudly.
