Whitmore Lake Gallery Reception

You are invited to the artists' reception of the Whitmore Lake Portrait Group Gallery. Light refreshments will be served. Artists' easels and work will remain set up from their earlier studio session that day for visitors to enjoy. The Whitmore Lake Portrait Group (WLPG) donated and installed the hanging system and signage in the gallery, and is handling the rotating exhibit schedule which will feature new art every quarter by WLPG artists. Now showing are 10 portraits in all media created by the artists who meet on Monday afternoons to draw and paint models who sit for them. Open to the public during normal center hours, the gallery showcases the talents of the longest-standing activity of the center--the Whitmore Lake Portrait Group started when the center opened in 1997. The most senior member currently attending is Whitmore Lake resident Joe Comps at age 84. For more information, contact the center at 734-449-2295.
