The American Red Cross Announces Local Heroes for 2010: Real Heroes, Ordinary People, Extrodinary Courage

Heroes to be honored are:

• Clara Barton Humanitarian of the Year Award – Douglas Burnie of Fowlerville
• Community Hero Award – Richard DeLisle of Fowlerville
• Community Spirit Award – Susan Spagnuolo of Fowlerville
• Adult Good Samaritan – Tom Campbell of Pinckney
• Child Good Samaritan – Donald (DJ) Bishop III, 4, of Fowlerville
• Youth Good Samaritan – Hannah Loiselle, 14, of Brighton
• Man’s Best Friend – Ellie, the Siamese cat, of Howell
• Workplace Hero – Leane Lowe, Livingston County Central Dispatch
• Community Responder Award – Green Oak Township Police, Green Oak Township Fire Department, Livingston County Central Dispatch and Livingston County EMS
