Tour de Livingston

Howell Rotary's fourth annual Tour de Livingston takes place Sunday, October 9.

All proceeds go to Livington County United Way to support local basic need programs.

This fully-supported bicycle tour goes through scenic Livingston County during peak autumn color season.

Enjoy a beautiful fall color ride choosing 10, 28, 38, 62 or 100 mile routes — or bring the family for the Family Fun Loop!

Begin and end your ride at the Mt. Brighton Ski Area, located at 4141 Bauer Road, Brighton.

Breakfast will be ready for riders to enjoy before you hit the road for the route of your choice and a well-balanced buffet is featured at the finish of the ride. Additional snacks and hospitality will also be on hand.

Route options include:

  • Road bike loops. Spend the day enjoying the countryside of Livingston County. Four different loops begin and end at Mt. Brighton. Choose to ride the 29-mile Howell Loop, 38-mile Parks Loop, 62-mile Southwest Loop, or combine to ride a Century Route.
  • Family fun loop and recreational ride. An easy route consisting of paved bike paths with several ice cream shops near the halfway point; pick from estimated six-mile or 10-mile routes.
  • New for 2011 is a 15-mile novice and mountain bike loop! (More details to follow at a later date.)

Onsite registration starts at 7 a.m. Course opens at 8 a.m. All rider services end at 5 p.m. Riders under 14 must be supervised by an adult.

Cost is $30 for pre-registration or $40 to register the day of the ride. Children 12 and younger pay $12. Long sleeved commemorative T-shirts are available for $10 each.

Note that all distances are approximate; routes will be well marked with large route markers on the pavement. Also, tour organizers reserve the right to make changes to our routes based on construction and other factors beyond our control. Final routes and maps will be distributed the morning of the ride.
