Howell Nature Center, granddaughter and Pa

Why do people decide to take on wild animals as pets? If you want to observe the consequence of such a decision, spend some time at the Howell Nature Center. We three visited it today, Pa, granddaughter and myself. A rare treat, of course, to see wild animals close and personal but so sad as you are able to read how human interaction caused this now permanent life in captivity. Hats off to the people that volunteer at the Howell Nature Center and if you want to enjoy a brief time out in nature, visit it and leave a donation as they receive no federal money at all. Now home, lunch has been enjoyed, the screens are open and the spring breeze is coming into our home. Pa and granddaughter are napping. And as I am learning to sit still, I am not interested in an afternoon nap.
