Baby Playgroup at the Traverwood Library. This is a time for babies up to 24 months and their grown-ups to gather and play. The Library will provide the space and a variety of toys. Each playgroup includes 15 minutes of stories, rhymes and songs.

Fairytale Family Vacation at Ann Arbor Civic Theatre. On a family vacation, Dad takes a wrong turn and ends up in the Disenchanted Forest where familiar fairytale favorites seem a little different than we remember.

Baby Bounce Class (Ages 0-2 with caregiver) at Salem - South Lyon District Library. Our Storytime Classes teach creative expression, social skills, listening comprehension and the foundations of early literacy. Drop in for fingerplays, stories and songs.

PAWS FOR READING: CHILDREN READING TO DAISY at the Civic Center at Livonia Public Library.  Bring your favorite book and enjoy time improving your reading with our four-legged friend, and resident Reading Therapy dog, Daisy. Register in person at the Children’s desk, or by phone at (734) 466-2493.

GROWING TOGETHER AT MSU TOLLGATE at Novi Public Library. Have fun with us as we grow together through story times, hay rides, gardening, games, farm animals, science experiments, and more. This entertaining day will enrich us as we learn about each other, discover new resources and friends.

THE NOVI SPECIAL ROAD RALLY at Novi Parks, Recreation and Cultural Department. On Saturday, May 17, take part in this interactive program that celebrates the engine that made Novi famous! Bring a team of 4-6 members, take off in your vehicle and search for “wild & crazy” predetermined items to photograph.



Sunday, May 18:


El Dia de los Niños y Libros at the Downtown Library. A national celebration of children and books connecting kids to the world of learning through books, stories and libraries. Enjoy colorful stories and crafts, face painting, and experience the fabulous flamenco of El Alma Española!
