In Memoriam: Founding Member of Brighton Classic Legends Car Club Dies at Age 76

Angove, Ronald P.

Age 76 of Brighton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 27, 2013. Born on October 23, 1937 in Wayne, he was the son of Philip L. and Florence M. (Ferguson) Angove.

An active volunteer for Gleaners and former Boy Scout leader, Ron and his wife Joann were also one of the founding couples of the Classic Legends Car Club in Brighton. Ron was a member of Brighton Kiwanis.

Beloved husband of the late Joann Angove who preceded him in death on July 7, 2012. Loving father of Randy (Patti) Angove of Renton, Washington, Michael (Lori) Angove of Seward, Alaska and Christopher (Erica) Angove of New York, New York. He was the proud grandfather of Emma and brother of Judy (Bill) Igo of Hartland and Edward (Barbara) Angove of Brutus, Michigan.

Lois M. McDonald

Lois M. McDonald, 84, of Brighton, died Thursday, December 5, 2013.

Born on March 16, 1929, in Laurium, Michigan, she was the daughter of Phillip and Myrtle (Hodges) Kraemer. On June 24, 1950, she was united in marriage to William J. McDonald, in Detroit. Before retirement she was employed by the University of Michigan. She was affiliated with St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dexter, and enjoyed Bridge.  

Her Family...Surviving are two daughters, Kathleen (Stephen) Ericson of Ann Arbor, and Mary (Thomas) Mitchell of Brighton; four grandchildren, Kristoffer Phibbs, Jennifer (Mitchell) Hopwood, Andrew Phibbs and Emily Mitchell; two step-grandchildren, Robert and Stephanie Ericson; four great-grandchildren, Hunter Hopwood, Alex Phibbs, Jack Hopwood and Luke Phibbs; one brother, Phillip "Bud" Kraemer, Jr. of Plymouth; and one sister, Betty Schommer of Redford. She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Jim), her brother-in-law, Russell Schommer and her sister-in-law, Rosetta Kraemer.
