Brighton Firefighters Rescue Tree Trimmer Trapped 50 Feet in the Air

The man became trapped after a tree limb pinned his right hand and leg.

A tree trimmer was trapped about 50 feet in the air when a heavy tree limb pinned his right hand and leg on Tuesday afternoon, according to Brighton Area Fire Chief Mike O'Brian.

O'Brian said firefighters had to use a ladder truck to reach the man because he was too high in the air to be reached by ground ladders.

O'Brian said firefighters were on the scene on Hilton Road in Brighton Township for about an hour and 20 minutes, making multiple cuts in the branch to free the man.
