Multi-Vehicle Accident Sends 3 to Hospital Including a Brighton Man

An accident in Fowlerville involving four cars sends three people to hospital for injuries.

A multi-vehicle car crash in Fowlerville sent three people to the hospital on Wednesday morning.

The accident occured at approximately 9:45 a.m. on westbound I-96 as traffic started to slow down due to construction, according to a report from the Michigan State Police.

Police say a 43-year-old Milford woman, who was attempting to change lanes, rear-ended a 64-year-old Brighton man. The impact of the crash forced her vehicle into the right lane, hitting the car of a 42-year-old Detroit man, according to the report.

The vehicle driven by the Brighton man veered to the left, according to the report, colliding with a car driven by a 23-year-old woman from East Lansing.

The Brighton man, along with the Milford woman and her 41-year-old female passenger from Redford were all were all transported to Sparrow Hospital due to injuries sustained during the crash, according to the report.

The Michigan State Police was assisted at the crash scene by Fowlerville Fire Department, Livingston County EMS, Livingston County Sherriff Department and Fowlerville PD.
