Car Reported Stolen from Brighton Ford Used Cars

The following information was provided by the Livingston County Sheriff's Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 1988 red Chevrolet Blazer was stolen from Brighton Ford Used Cars on West Grand River in Brighton Township sometime between 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 5 and 7 a.m. on Jan. 7, according to a police report.

Brighton Ford Used Cars Sales Manager told police that the car was parked on the lawn and that he still had two keys to the vehicle, the report said.

Police found one set of footprints on the lawn where the car had been parked, leading to the driver's side door. The car had been brought into the dealership 54 days ago and was not test driven recently, police said.

The car's sticker price was $8,995.

Police entered the car into the system as stolen and put out a be on the lookout (BOL) for the vehicle.
