Child safety event a success
Michigan State Police-Brighton Post help area residents keep their children safe in the car.
The Michigan State Police–Brighton Post's child safety seat inspection and installation event on Valentine's Day was a success, according to Sgt. Mark Thompson. The theme was “Nothing says I love you, like a properly installed child safety seat.”
Trooper DJ Oswald-DeBottis, a trained child safety seat technician, handled nine child safety seat inspections for proper install and child fit, Thompson said. One car seat was donated to a family.
Patti Hamilton, grandma to 10-month-old Lola Smith, of Fowlerville, brought Lola to the Brighton Post to have the “next level” child safety seat installed and fitted.
