Fatal Crash Between Pedestrian and EMS Remains Under Investigation

The Michigan State Police First District Headquarters continues to investigate the Nov. 18 accident involving a pedestrian and EMS vehicle.

A fatal crash involving a Livingston County EMS vehicle and a pedestrian is under investigation by the Michigan State Police First District Headquarters.

The crash took place on Nov. 18 around 2 a.m. on Grand River near Golf Club Dr, where the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a press release from the Michigan State Police- Brighton Post.

Police say the investigation was started by the Livingston County Sheriff's Department, who then requested the Michigan State Police take over the investigation, which is normal protocol as the Livingston County EMS vehicle is a county vehicle.

The incident continues to remain under investigation and the identity of the deceased pedestrian has not been confirmed, according to the press release.
