Man Arrested for Pointing Handgun While Driving US-23

A Waterford man was arrested on Tuesday evening for pointing a handgun while traveling northbound on US-23, according to the Michigan State Police.  

Michigan State Police Troopers from the Brighton Post Green Oak Township Police responded to a call placed by a Westland semi truck driver who reported the man was pointing a black and silver handgun at the passenger door with his finger on the trigger in a black pickup truck on US-23, south of I-96 in Green Oak Township, according to a news release. 

The semi truck driver stayed on the phone with Livingston County Central Dispatch and was able to assist officers in locating the suspect in the area of US-23 and M-59.

Police said a semi-automatic handgun was located inside the man's truck.
