Police Arrest 2 Men in Connection to Tyrone Township Break-Ins

Police say two suspects were questioned and are being held in connection with several break ins in Tyrone Township.

Two men from Howell are currently being held as suspects in several breaking and entering cases in Tyrone Township.

Thomas James McCrackin, 19, and Vincent Richard Fowler, 31, are being held at the Livingston County jail, according to a press release from the Livingston County Sheriff's Department. Police say their investigation into the Tyrone Township breaking and entering cases led them to locate McCrackin, who was found to be in possession of stolen property, including firearms. 

After questioning McCrackin, police were led to Fowler, and after obtaining a search warrant for a storage unit, police say they were able to recover three additional handguns, two of which were taken from one of the Tyrone Township break-ins.

McCrackin has been arraigned on one count of breaking and entering with additional charges expected, according to the press release. He currently awaits court proceedings as his bond is set at $60,000. Fowler has been arraigned on receiving and concealing stolen firearms and possession of firearms by a felon and police say he remains in jail with a $50,000 cash/surety bond.
