“I’ve been working to make my community better as a mom and as a local elected official. My focus has been on affecting legislation for the people of this community for a very long time. Whether it is affecting a local ordinance or limiting taxes at a state level, I’ve been working at keeping government responsive to our residents. As a legislator, I’ll be able to do that even more. I was born in Michigan, I’m raising my kids here, and I pray I’ll see my grandkids raised here,” said Theis in a statement.

Theis is a Graduate of California State University, Fullerton with a bachelor's in biology and a minor in chemistry.
