What groups/organizations are you involved with in the community?

I am a member of St. Patrick Church of Brighton. I have been endorsed by Right to Life, the Republican Women's Club of Livingston County, the Retake Our Gov TEA Party group, and the Brighton TEA Party.

Why are you running for office and what relevant qualities/skills would you bring to the position?

As a resident of Brighton for almost 25 years, I am eager to make our Brighton Area Schools the pinnacle of education that they once were. When people think of quality education, I want them to think of the Brighton School District. In previous years, our tax dollars have been poorly managed, leaving us without the necessary funds to provide students and teachers with the necessary resources for an exceptional educational system. With a background in business and finance, I will lead our schools out of the financial turmoil that they once endured. I will put an end to deficit spending, and I promise to never vote to approve budgets that leave our Brighton Area Schools spending more money than they receive. A vote for Nick Fiani is a vote for a brighter future for our students and teachers, children and parents, and for all citizens of our community.

What are the top three priority issues the School Board should address and what actions would you, as an elected official, take to address them?

I believe there are several priority issues that our school district is currently encountering. These issues range from spending to technology to infrastructure to student performance. The majority of these issues that we currently face can be solved through fiscally conservative spending and adherence to financially responsible decisions.
