LCGOP's 2011 Lincoln Day Dinner and VIP reception

Karl Rove, an often-controversial former deputy chief of staff and senior advisor to President George W. Bush, political analyst and author, speaks Wednesday at Livingston Republican's 51st annual Lincoln Day Dinner.

The event takes place at Crystal Gardens Banquet Center, 5768 E. Grand River Ave. in Howell, from 7 to 9 p.m. Following a VIP reception at 5 p.m., doors open for general admission at 6:30 p.m.

Newly-elected Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette also will speak at the event. Schuette, a native of Midland, is a former U.S. Congressman. He also has served in the Michigan Senate, as director of the Michigan Department of Agriculture and as a Michigan Court of Appeals appellate judge.

Dinner costs $60 per person; cost for a table of 10 is $600. VIP admission, which also includes a VIP reception, is $120 per person.
