It's Time for Bargain Books at Brighton Library

The Friends of the Brighton District Library host their annual Spring Book Sale this week.

Looking for a great deal on quality books? The Friends of the Brighton District Library will hold their semi-annual Spring Book Sale, April 12-17. Thousands of donated books, audio books, CDs and VHS will be available. Shoppers and book lovers will find fantastic bargains.

This year’s sale has been extended to include a member reception and silent auction on Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. A members-only dealer appreciation night will follow on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. The sale will be open to the general public on Thursday from 10 a.m.–9 p.m., and Friday from 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Saturday is "Bag Day" — from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. fill your bag for $5. Sunday is “Free Book Day,” and all remaining stock is given away at no charge from 1-4 p.m.

Book sales and memberships are the main source of revenue for the Friends. For the second year, the group has pledged more than $36,000 in support of programs, equipment, and events throughout the year. That amounts to triple what the library receives in direct support from the State of Michigan.

The Brighton District Library is located at 100 Library Drive. For information call 810-229-6571, ext. 227 or see www.brightonlibrary.info.
