Make the Brighton Library Your Economical Holiday Helper This Season

The Library offers helpful holiday activities from ornament and dessert-making to caroling, cookbooks and Santa.

The holidays bring to mind family, friends, good food and cozy decorations, but being responsible for bringing those things together can be downright stressful.  Let the lend a hand - for free. We have special programs, events and books which are designed to help you through the holidays.

Need an inexpensive do-it-yourself gift or decorating idea? Drop in Thursday, Nov. 10 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for Book Page Ornaments. Learn how to make an elegant ornament from a re-purposed paperback book.

Impress your family this Thanksgiving with yummy treats made by your teenager. The Library’s teen department will host a dessert-making class titled Thanksgiving Treats on Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. All materials will be supplied and no experience is necessary.
