Newly Elected Brighton Township Board Sworn into Office

Livingston County 44th Circuit Court Judge Michael P. Hatty administered the oaths.

Newly elected Township Trustees Lucille Weaire and Patrick Michel joined veteran board members taking their oaths of office Monday night.

Livingston County 44th Circuit Court Judge Michael P. Hatty administered the oaths and witnessed signatures.

Weaire and Michel will take the place of retiring trustees John Rogers and Jim Kovitz. They will join re-elected Trustees Mike Slaton and Cathy Doughty, Treasurer Lana Theis, Clerk Ann Bollin and Supervisor Tom Murphy.

Rogers was given a public send off when Murphy presented him with a proclamation at the end of the meeting, thanking him for his long years of service to the township.

Bollin then motioned that the meeting should be adjourned, which Rogers seconded. Rogers and Kovitz's terms ended as of noon on Tuesday.
