Overnight Road Work to Close Eastbound I-96 to Southbound U.S. 23 Ramp This Week
Traffic will be affected in the Brighton and Hartland areas.
There will be overnight ramp closures on the ramp from eastbound I-96 to southbound U.S. 23 Wednesday and Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following mornings, according to an email sent by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).
The closure are necessary for bridge demolition of the Grand River Avenue bridge, which is located just south of the I-96/U.S, 23 interchange.
When the ramp is closed, motorists will be directed east on I-96 to the Kensington Road interchange, then west on I-96 as a way to access southbound U.S 23.
