Rogers Appointed to Regional Education Committee

The committee will serve as a forum for regional education-related topics.

State Rep. Bill Rogers (R-Brighton) was appointed by House Speaker Jase Bolger to serve on a key bipartisan regional committee that will provide a forum for the regional consideration of critical education-related topics.

The Education Committee is a new addition this year to the Midwestern Legislative Conference of The Council of State Governments, which is an organization that brings regional political leaders together to exchange ideas about government and discuss a wide range of topics.

"Education is critical for the future success of our children and grandchildren, and as we move forward it is important that we have the best education options available in our state," Rogers said in a press release. "I look forward to being a part of this committee and working with legislators from around the Midwest to discuss new and innovative ideas."
