Representatives from Snyder's Office to Visit Brighton on Thursday

On May 23, Gov. Rick Snyder's Office of Constituent Services will visit Brighton as part of his mobile office initiative.

Gov. Rick Snyder will not be in attendance on Thursday, however, representatives from his office will be on location to help address questions, according to a press release.

May 23 and 24, representatives of the office will visit locations in Washtenaw, Livingston, Ingham, Shiawassee, Clinton and Ionia counties. Specific locations, times and other detailed information below, or call 517-335-7858 or visit www.michigan.gov/snyder.

“This is an excellent opportunity for citizens to ask questions and engage with representatives from my office,” said Snyder. “It is our goal to make government as accessible as possible, and I encourage anyone who is interested to visit our mobile office hours.”

Staff will be available to answer questions, provide information and direction, as well as take suggestions in regard to current government issues affecting Michigan citizens, communities and businesses.

Important topics for discussion include but are not limited to the state budget, the ongoing reinvention of Michigan and opportunities to get involved in state government. Representatives will be on hand to offer assistance with state agency relations and any other state-related matter. 

No appointment is necessary. The mobile hours are in addition to regular office hours of Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Lansing.  

According to the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page, residents are encouraged to stop by Thursday morning to meet with with represetatives from the Michigan's governor's office at Bagels and Bites at 5757 Whitmore Lake Rd. in Brighton from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
