Readers' Choice Winner: Oak Pointe Country Club

Oak Pointe Country Club won the "Best Place for Easter Brunch" by having the most poll votes.

Patch readers have spoken and the votes are in for the best place for Easter Brunch in Brighton.

In our , 16 voters cast their ballots for the restaurant or banquet center with the best Easter spread.

Receiving 6 votes (37 percent) in the contest, was chosen by Brighton Patch readers as the best place for Easter Brunch in the area, beating out Crystal Gardens Banquet Center by a slim margin.

Oak Pointe Food and Beverage Director Andy Masten said he believes its the food that won the contest. On April 8, there will be three seatings for club members at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. with foods like mixed salads, shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon, a carving station with turkey, ham and prime rib, a breakfast bar with a french toast station and much more.

Masten said there will also be a kids table with kid favorites such as macaroni and cheese, chicken tenders and tater tots. There will also be healthier choices of cereal, yogurt and fruit.

Masten said last year, Oak Pointe served 600 people during its Easter Brunch. This year, they are expecting about 500 people.

"Keep in mind that Easter was late last year," he said. "Spring break was not going on, so we had more people to pull from. This year, it's during spring break, so we're thrilled that we have 500 people."

Crystal Gardens Banquet Center had five votes (31 percent).
