Get Your High Heels Ready

There's still time to pump up the fundraising action for LACASA's 8th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event Saturday, April 20, at 9 a.m. Walk. Support a walker. Start a team!

Support the brave men and boys from Livingston County as they walk one mile in women's shoes to raise awareness and funds for victims of sexual assault and interpersonal violence.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is set for this Saturday, April 20, at Tanger Outlet Center in Howell. Check-in starts at 9 a.m. The walk kicks-off at 10 a.m.

You can walk, support a walker, or start a team on LACASA's fundraising page at FirstGiving.

There will be lots of action this year. The Brighton Pep Band and the Howell High School Drumline will perform.

The Flair Station isΒ a favorite spot for dauther's to polish the toenails of (brave) dads or fancy-up the walkers' footwear.

Boomer, the Pepperidge Farm goldfish mascot, will be out to pose for photographs with walkers and supporters.

This is pet-friendly event. Dogs who like to walk on a leash amid a crowd are welcome. Pooch costumes are optional.
