Support Brave-Hearted 'Soles' from Livingston County

Join men, boys, supporters -- and even activist doggies -- as they "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" to de-feet interpersonal violence. Learn how you can pump up this event!

Join the men and boys of Livingston County as they walk one mile in women's shoes to raise awareness and funds to de-feet interpersonal violence.

LACASA's 8th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event will be held Saturday, April 20, at Tanger Outlet Center in Howell. Check-in begins at 9 a.m. The walk kicks off at 10 a.m.

This is a light-hearted family event that helps raise community awareness.

Supporters come out to cheer on their walkers. Father and son teams join forces to earn the most financial pledges. Daughters enjoy the Flair Station where they can deck out brave dads and brothers in toenail polish and fashion-forward footwear accessories.

This also is a pet-friendly event. Let your activist canines dress up and walk for a good cause. They'll appreciate the freedom of expression.

The competition is heating up online as people pledge to support walkers or walking teams that are entered in this well-heeled event.
