The sultry weather will break on Saturday, July 20, making way for a refreshing evening at LACASA's Twilight in the Garden.
This annual fundraising garden party kicks off at 6 p.m. and runs until twilight. The public is invited to attend and join in the festivities.
Twilight in the Garden 2013 is hosted by Linda and Dale Bader at their spectacular waterside homestead in Howell.
Guests can stroll acres of gardens, sip on wines from around the world, enjoy cool brews, nibble on gourmet food, and listen to sizzling music.
Guitarist and singer Tim Hern, who plays favorites that span the generations, will be featured on one side of the water, while the Mallard Pond jazz band will offer up smooth tunes near the hors d'oeuvres tent.
Men (and women) can kick back on the Patio Cigar Bar where they may want to join in the golf chipping contest. Cigars and spirits will be available.
A silent auction will be held throughout the evening. Offerings include incredible gift baskets, sparkling jewelry, and great vacation getaways.
Dress is garden party casual, so come in comfortable clothing. (Flat shoes recommended.)
The price for tickets is $50 per person. They sell quickly, so reserve them in advance. Tickets also may be purchased at the event, subject to availability.
All proceeds benefit abused children and victims of interpersonal violence from Livingston County.
