Brighton Seniors Triumph in Second Annual Powderpuff Football Game

Bulldog seniors defeated the juniors 14-12 Monday night.

Brighton senior girls defeated the juniors 14-12 during the second annual Brighton High School powderpuff football game Monday night.

The Brighton senior girls dominated the first half, scoring on the first play of their first ball possession using a trick play to confuse the juniors.

Briana Armbruster faked a communication error with Head Coach Chase Browning and began walking towards the sidelines with the ball, when she took off running suddenly to score the seniors first touchdown.

Browning said he got the idea for the fake play 10 minutes before game time from videos he's seen on YouTube and from other teams.

Armbruster said she was scared the juniors would see through her acting skills, but it went off without a hitch.
