As we all come to grips with the shocking and devastating situation in Connecticut we continue to look for new and different ways to keep our kids safe. From disaster drills to lock downs we have and will continue to do everything in our power to keep our schools safe. As a matter of fact security vestibules, swipe card entry systems, and nearly 500 security cameras are a part of the recently passed bond. We will work tirelessly to get these projects done as soon as possible. We ask that you help us by having safety conversations with your children so that we as a community can do everything in our power to ensure safety in our schools.
Hundreds of people have reached out, looking for ways to help the families of the victims since the story broke Friday morning.
