Brighton Patch caught up with students and parents on the first day of school.
Brighton Patch went to school Tuesday to see how the kids were enjoying their first day.
held kindergarten orientation for both parents and students on Tuesday. Their first day of school will begin Wednesday.
Kimberly Schnurstein and her daughter Breanna Price, 4, were among the orientation attendees. Breanna was calm, playing with class activities, her mother was not.

"I'm excited and nervous," Schnurstein said of her only child starting kindergarten. "I'm not ready for her to start."
