Poinsettia Sale Will Help Edsel Students Preserve Natural Courtyard

Poinsettia orders can be taken through Nov. 20.

Purchasing everyone's favorite holiday plant can also help Dearborn students protect a natural sanctuary at their school this winter.

Edsel Ford High School students are hosting a Poinsettia sale, the proceeds of which will go toward providing food and bedding for animals in the school's "Thornley Court."

The natural preserve is home to all sorts of animals— squirrels, ducks and rabbits, ducks, and even peacocks.

According to Dearborn Public Schools, the Environmental Science classes take care of the courtyard during the year and hold an annual Poinsettia sale to help with their mission.

All mini, single, and double flowers come in white, red, and pink and are priced from $5 to $20. Orders and payments must be turned in by Nov. 20.

To place an order for a Poinsettia plant, contact Edsel Ford High School at 313-827-1500.
