Twitter Account Pokes Fun at Brighton Area Schools, Teachers and Students

A twitter account features many tweets containing profanity about Brighton places and people.

On Monday afternoon, succeeded in suspending a with the handle @HartlandProblems after tweets were deemed bullying and inappropriate as they were accompanied by an image of a former administrator.

A similar account exists in Brighton, under the handle @Brighton_Probs. Unlike the Hartland one, it does not use the image of a school official. The account is run by an anonymous person or persons. Tweets contain profanity, and many of them mention Brighton school teachers or others by name. The account has 444 followers.

The account pokes fun at "Brighton Problems," a joke that originated from the MTV reality TV show Jersey Shore.

Tweets include:

"Fourteen year olds talking about abortion and smoking cigarettes at the Mill Pond @Brighton_Probs."

So, Brighton Patch wants to know:

Should school districts step in and attempt ban these fake accounts like they did in Hartland? Or are these accounts harmless?
