The Results are IN!

Select results from the recently sent out recreation survey are here!

Thank you to all who participated in the survey and gave us valuable input as to what Southeastern Livingston county patrons are looking for in recreation.

There is still time to fill out the survey and help us serve the community better! At SELCRA, the staff is dedicated to creating the best programs that suit the needs of the community. 73 percent of patrons said they were satisfied overall with recreational programs. SELCRA’s goal is to have that 73 percent of the population join the 10 percent of very satisfied people.

Spending time outdoors and with family and friends are two of the highest scoring potential benefits of participating in leisure/free time activities. SELCRA offers plenty of ways to get engaged with the outdoors and hangout with your family and friends.

On Saturday, Oct. 13 you can go on the Fall Colors Canoe Trip. If you need some time away from the kids we are offering our popular Date Night. While you leave the kids to play assorted activities and watch a movie you have the chance to go out and relax with your significant other.

We have been using the results to improve the programs we currently have and to create new ones in the future. Some needs are easier to be met than others. For example a water/spray park is easier, more cost efficient, and will be created faster than an outdoor swimming pool.
