Volunteers are the Heart of the Community

Come out and volunteer for the Tridge or Treat Spooktacular!

Volunteers make a community closer, stronger, and more fun to be in. One of the staff members at SELCRA is an avid volunteer for the Washtenaw County American Heart Association and knows first hand that events would not be as successful without the dedication and hours volunteers give.

SELCRA has many opportunities to give back to the community while having fun! It is not everyday you are asked to put on a costume and pass out candy.

However, this Halloween SELCRA is looking for fun outgoing volunteers to help with the Tridge or Treat Spooktacular on October 31 from 4:30P-7:30P. Come out and brace the weather hurricane Sandy is throwing at us and help make this event the best for the people in the community!

We are looking for people to dress as characters (costumes provided), pass out candy, trick or treat bags, and help direct people along the Tridge. If you are not familiar with the Tridge or Treat event it is a FREE event for everyone of all ages. People walk along the Tridge starting at the Gazebo at 5:30P by the Millpond and end at Brighton Fire Station.

The Fire Station will be having a costume contest, food, and a magician starting at 6P! If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity please contact Ken Grybel at kgrybel@selcra.com or call 810-299-4140! This event is sure to be a spooktacular time!
